About the Client
Stronghold Counseling Services is a private therapy practice founded by an experienced mental health professional relocating from Sioux Falls, SD to Charlotte, NC. As she builds a new client base in the area, her mission remains the same: to help individuals find strength, healing, and peace in their lives. Guided by the slogan “Reclaim your life,” Stronghold Counseling offers support that’s grounded, compassionate, and empowering.
The Challenge
With no existing branding, the client needed a full visual identity to establish a presence in her new community. She wanted to avoid any overlap with other practices using similar names and sought a unique, meaningful approach. Drawing inspiration from Celtic heritage, she envisioned a brand that incorporated elements like castle towers, chess pieces, and knotwork—symbols of protection, strategy, and continuity.
Our Solution
I leaned into the Celtic inspiration and explored ways to reflect the strength and symbolism behind her practice name. The final logo features a custom mark that evokes the structure of a stronghold, with subtle nods to Celtic patterns and tower silhouettes. The visual system is paired with a calming yet confident color palette and clean typography to create a brand that feels both timeless and grounded.
Every design decision was made with her mission in mind—helping clients reclaim their lives through intentional, thoughtful care. While she didn’t need additional marketing materials, the brand was built for longevity and adaptability, supporting Stronghold Counseling Services as it begins a new chapter in Charlotte.
