Endless Cycle
Collage
About the Piece
Endless Cycle is a mixed-media collage centered on themes of motion, repetition, and the unseen rhythms of emotional and physical life. Red and blue flow throughout the piece—mirroring the circulation of blood through the body and the constant, involuntary cycles that keep us alive. Layered beneath it all is a wind pattern map, suggesting natural forces that move with and through us, even when we’re unaware. These elements reinforce the idea that healing is not a single, linear event, but a continual process—sometimes gentle, sometimes chaotic.
At the forefront of the composition is a prominent visual: a pair of hands holding a dripping heart. This image carries over into Concepts of Healing and acts as the emotional and symbolic anchor between the two works. While Endless Cycle is visually quieter in the final piece, its placement isn’t passive. It provides the undercurrent—the subconscious voice—that informs each layered decision in Concepts of Healing. Viewed on its own, it reveals the tension between stillness and movement, progress and regression. It’s a reminder that even when we feel stagnant, there’s something happening beneath the surface.
